Abrakadabra –S dominated the competition in the men's division, while NPBC/TNT Construction Ladies captured the title in the women's department of the recent two-day 2015 Masskara Regional Invitational Open Trio Bowling Extravaganza hosted by the Bowlers Club of Bacolod at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complexin Bacolod City.

The Art palo-mentored champion team beat the Davies ON-BACIBA bowlers in the rubber match, 345-327, to win this year's title.

Davies defeated the twice-to-beat Abrakadabra in game one, 340-303, but Abrakadabra bounced back in the final game as Nonoy Hulguin and Edgar De Leon delivered 120 and 118 pinfalls, respectively, while Reymund Lopez contributed 87.

For Edgar Jerez' Davies, Felipe Boy Romero posted 112, while Iran Pielago posted 100 and Marlon Faisan toppled 95 pins.

KMH Super Batchoy I Team of Leah Uy settled for second runner-up after absorbing defeat in the hands of ON-BACIBA in the semifinals, 346-321.

In the women's division, TNT Construction/NPBC Ladies of Nonoy Ruiz captured the championship with a victory over ASSFBI Ladies in the finals, 330-297.

Carrying the colors for TNT were Cheryl Ramos, Precy Pillo and Tess Robles, while Sylvia Del Rosario, Lea Javier and Juliet Regollo played for ASSFBI.

ASSFBI advanced into the final after beating NPBC LJP Trading Ladies of Gil Villagante in the semi-finals, 313-291.

The top three winners in the master's competition in both divisions were Edgar De Leon (Sharp), Marlon Faisan (Davies), and Iran Pielago (Davies) in the men's side; Precy Pillo (TNT NPBC), Sharon Sioson (Triple K), and Juliet Regollo (ASSFBI) in the women's category.

The tournament's individual record holders were Mark Deocampo (Roxas City) in the men's pinning with 93, and Oscar Clenen (RJ Stars/Metro Sales) in highest single with 155; Leah Uy (DDL) in the women's pinningwith 92, and Karen Khubchand (ON-BACIBA) in single with 134.

Tournament organizer Edgar Jerez assisted by protocol officer Orly Guiljon and Rowena Juarez distributed the cash prizes and trophies to the winners.

The event was held in cooperation with Smart Communications, Inc.

Meanwhile, the opening of the NSL regular trio bowling tournament will be on Oct.27 at the same venue.

It will be an eight-scheduled game event to be contested in the men and women's division.*HLG
