Reinstated Central Negros Electric Cooperative general manager Sulpicio Lagarde Jr. filed a petition urging the Energy Regulatory Commission to order Ceneco and Filinvest Development Corporation Utilities Inc. to immediately refund consumers P151.7 million in alleged excess amount collected from December 2014 to July 2015.

FDCUI filed a petition with ERC for the approval of the contract with Ceneco and Lagarde intervened.

However, ERC issued a provisional authority for the implementation of the contract in February..moremoremore

Lacson predicts
close win over Ferrer

Vice Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson yesterday said he is confident of victory for him and the two Love Negros congressional bets of the first and third districts of Negros Occidental in the May 2016 polls.

The vice governor was responding to questions on the large turn-out of support for his opponent, Rep. Jeffrey Ferrer (Neg. Occ., 4 th District), when he filed his Certificate of Candidacy on Friday, and on speculation that stronger replacement candidates could be fielded against the two Love Negros congressional bets.

Lacson said Love Negros is confident that its candidates will win, it has no intention of replacing any of them before the December 10 Comelec deadline.moremoremore

Treasurer's Office robbed

The Municipal Treasurer's Office of Sibulan was again ransacked by unidentified persons, who stole P166,848.53 in cash and several checks, and the incident was discovered early Monday morning.

Personnel of the Treasurer's Office, who discover the burglary, immediately reported the incident to the police station. Initial investigations show the cabinets were forcibly opened, and fingerprints were lifted and now being processed by the Scene of the Crime Operatives.

Follow-up operations conducted by the Sibulan police, headed by Senior Insp. Nelson Lamoco, resulted in the recovery of 25 checks of varying amounts near the old cockpit in Tubtubon, Sibulan. moremoremore
