A senior agriculturist of the Negros Occidental provincial government is one of this year's eleven 2015 Presidential Lingkod Bayan Awardees, Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr. said yesterday.
The Negros Occidental winner is Dina Genzola, of the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist, the Civil Service Commission informed the governor.
The 11 awardees, chosen in a nationwide search, will receive gold-gilded medallions, presidential plaques with citations and signature of President Benigno Aquino, and a P200,000 cash reward at rites set November 9, the CSC said.
Genzola was chosen for her dedication and hard work, Marañon said, noting that the evaluators even visited her church and her community to see how she deals with her neighbors.
Genzola should be emulated for being a good civil servant in the service of God, her country, and her neighbors, he said.
“Work is a form of prayer if done well,” he said, adding that the provincial government will also give Genzola an incentive for winning the award.*CPG
