for calamity response

BY KARLA PANGANIBAN

Sixteen delivery vehicles and 17 generator sets are being readied by the Bacolod City Water District (BACIWA) to respond to calamities.

BACIWA Maintenance Department manager Rommel Paredes said that their office is ready to provide services to residents whenever they need them.

The delivery vehicles will be used to deliver water to El Niño hit areas, he said.

Paredes said that the generators will be used in times of power fluctuations and outages.

“We've learned from the past and we are getting ready for the future, it is part of our moral and civic duty,* he said.*KDP
