The best of Negros Island will be in the spotlight once again during the much-awaited 30 th Negros Trade Fair at the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati City, September 16-20, a press release from organizers said yesterday.
Hailed as one of the top three fairs in Makati and the longest running trade fair in the Philippines, the Negros Trade Fair is a showcase of the ingenuity and creativity of the Negrenses in terms of art, design and culture, it said.
It is a non-profit program of the Association of Negros Producers (ANP), an organization that represents and promotes the interests of producers based in Negros. ANP is also behind the Bulawan Awards, an annual product design and competition that recognizes the outstanding products of its members, the press release said.

GRECON Negros
inducts officers

The Grains Retailers' Confederation of the Philippines (GRECON) –Negros Occidental Chapter elected and inducted its new set of officers for 2016 Friday and announced more programs for the socio-economic development of the community.
Shirley Nacion, re-elected president, said yesterday that the Negros chapter performed well last year in terms of community involvement and participation in regional and national programs that led them to become more enthusiastic for further developments next year.
She pointed out that in a Visayas region gathering last year, Negros Occidental GRECON was a top performer and was commended for being active up until the national gathering.
