“Do the math”.
This was the reaction yesterday of Negros Occidental Vice Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson to the claim of Rep. Jeffrey Ferrer (Neg. Occ., 4 th District) that more than half of the Love Negros mayors will support him in his bid for vice governor in 2016.
“Considering Cong. Ferrer has not identified these Love Negros leaders, media may speculate who they are, if any at all, and do the math,” said Lacson, who is a member of LN.
Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr., chairman of the United Negros Alliance, has announced that Ferrer will be his running mate in 2016.
Lacson has said he is considering three options for 2016 – the governorship, vice governorship, or not running for any post.
On Friday, Ferrer said he is confident he will win the vice governorship because he has the solid support of the UNA mayors plus more than 50 percent of those from Love Negros.*CPG
