Teleperformance, the world's leading provider of outsourced customer experience management services, recently participated in a series of career road shows in top colleges and universities in the Visayas region, a press release from the firm said yesterday.
The road shows covered Northern Iloilo Polytechnic State College in Estancia, Iloilo, Negros Oriental State University in Dumaguete City and Carlos Hilado Memorial State College in Talisay City.
More than 700 college students from the three universities attended the free career orientation given by Teleperformance and its industry partners.
The students were provided a preview of what it is like to be working in the information technology and business process outsourcing (IT-BPO) industry, the press release said.
The college career seminars are part of the Service Management Program (SMP) of the Information Technology and Business Process Association of the Philippines.
Through the SMP, students can expand their BPO knowhow by taking special classes that focus on business management, service culture, business communications, and systems thinking - which are the core skills needed for a BPO career, the press release said.*
