Digital media gab set

A gathering of about 700 business and communication students for the ECOMPASS: Roadmap to Digital Marketing Integration, an internet marketing and e-commerce seminar, was held yesterday at the SMX Convention Center in Bacolod City.

Senior Marketing Management Students of University of St. La Salle conceptualized the event to put emphasis on the importance of digital media as the most influential advertising tool today, Kiefer Reje of the project secretariat said yesterday.

Rowena Graciano, E-commerce professor said that setting a digital strategy is essential to achieving the goals of businesses; thus business and industry needs graduates who are competent on this area as they will lead the different businesses towards a different level of competition in the playing field.

Keynote speaker was Lloyd Tronco, a USLS alumnus and a certified Digital Marketer by the Internet Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines (IMMAP).

Industry guru Dr. Jojo Vito, blogger Sigrid Lo and blogger-photographer Andreo Bongco were among the resource speakers.*KDP
