Tiger Eye takes early lead
in Golden Fuel bowling tilt

Tiger Eye, an all ladies team snubbed 19 other men's squads to grab the lead at the opening round of the 1 st Golden Fuel Mixed Trio Bowling Tournament at the Negros Super Lanes and Entertainment Center of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

The opening day leader, led by Jumilyn De La Cruz, registered a three-game output of 1,015 pinfalls.

Baco City Strikers came in second with 1,009 followed RJ Stars/NPBC with 986.

The other teams with their corresponding output: BCY, 981; Pinpalls ASSFBI, 980; Rapha, 977; PLS Electronz, 975; ESD Solid Strikers ASSFBI, 974; Davies, 974; Silverado ASSFBI, 945; 69Ner's, 920; Super batchoy 903; NPBC/Tough Trucks, 899; WEPCO, 891; BACKPHIL/NPBC, 889; RBY, 840; Grupo Retirado, 840, and Harvard Acer, 835.

Lions and Retro have not played their first game assignment, yet.

The participating squads will be bracketed into two. The teams with rated B player will be segregated to the premiere division, while non-rated to category B.

Tournament chairman Bobby Yap said gift certificates and trophies are stake for the top three winners in two categories, team and individual record holders, as well as the top 10 bowlers in the men's division and top five in the women's bracket, he added.

Games will resume at 6:30 tonight.

Meanwhile, the Sharp Friendship Cup Open Trio Bowling Tournament 2015 will unfold on Sept.18 at the New Top's Millennium Plaza Alley in Bacolod City.*HLG
