Operatives of the Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group in the 5th and 6th districts of Negros Occidental and the local police scored anew in their anti-drug campaign with the arrest of 14 more suspects who included two minors Thursday night in Kabankalan City and the confiscation of P90,000 worth of suspected shabu.
Arrested in another buy-bust operation were Joseph and Mary Grace Trestiza, ranked number 7 and 8 in the drug watchlist of the Kabankalan City Police Station, July Mandaguit, Elmer Linas, Ricardo andErnesto Afloro, Hernan Carian, Japhet Trestiza, Jonard Miral, Domingo Borres, Archie Adorio, Lory Jen Robles, and two minors whose identities are being withheld by the police.
The joint operations of the PAIDSOTG headed by Supt Antonietto Canete and Kabankalan police led by Supt. German Garbosa, yielded several big and small sachets of suspected shabu and its paraphernalia.
Also recovered from Joseph Trestiza were P500 in marked money and a .22 caliber Black Widow revolver with five ammunition, Garbosa said.
Two days earlier, 13 suspects were also arrested in Himamaylan City, for violation of RA 9165, and P400,000 worth of suspected shabu was confiscated.
The arrested suspects are now in jail.*GPB
