Prov’l Meet set
Dec. 16–20 in Panaad

Negros Occidental’s failure to win the hosting of the 2013 Palarong Pambansa will not affect the preparation and the conduct of the Negros Occidental Provincial Meet next month, Negros Occidental DepEd Provincial Sports head Romeo Sison said yesterday.

He said the annual sports and cultural competition among the delegates from the six areas in the province will open on December 16 at the Panaad Park and Stadium with the usual program of activities and with Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr. as guest speaker. The meet will end on December 20.

Department of Education Western Visayas regional director, Mildred Garay is also expected to give message at the opening ceremony, Sison said.
