Cops nab 2 ‘peddlers’,
seize 104 MJ cigarets
Two more suspected drug peddlers were accounted for by the police in anti-narcotics operations, Thursday and Friday, in the cities of Silay and Victorias, Negros Occidental, that yielded suspected shabu and marijuana.
Supt. Rosauro Francisco, Silay police chief, said the arrest of Eduardo Sale Sr., “alias Mitoy”, in a buy-bust operation Friday in Brgy. E. Lopez, Silay City, brought to more than 60, the number of drug peddlers accounted for since he assumed command last year.
Aside from the 104 marijuana cigarets, Francisco said the police also recovered dried marijuana leaves wrapped in newspaper, P100 in marked money and P125 in cash, believed to be proceeds from the sale of the banned drugs.
The confiscated marijuana taken from the possession of Sale by members of the Silay PNP Intelligence Section, headed by SPO1 Rayjay Rebadomia, has an estimated market value of P18,000.
SPO1 Junjie Liba also reported yesterday the arrest of Regino Paran, 46, during a raid at his residence in Brgy. 6, Victorias City, by virtue of a search warrant issued by Silay Judge Dyna Doll Chiongson-Trocio, that yielded two sachets of suspected shabu.
