Knights takes lead in
bowling tourney

Knights & Rey B collected 1,001 pinfalls to grab the opening round of the NSL organized Non-Rated Trio Bowling Spectacle at the Super Lanes of the Goldendield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

The Knights struck 325 pinfalls in the first game, 354 and 322 in the second and third, respectively.

Carrying the colors for the opening day leader are Art Palo, Rey “Spitfire” Bala-an, Remo Jareno, Nonoy Hulguin, Irne Diaz and Boy Wingpo.

LJP Trading/NPBC composed Gil Villagante, Jam Morales, Hernand Garciniego and Ed Panes occupied the second spot after hauling a three-game output of 976.

TNT Construction led by Nonong Ruiz packed up 955, while ASSFBI of Cecil Silverio toppled 926.

The other competing teams areRGBL, 905; RJ Stars/NPBC, 895; Kami Mga Hubin, 894; CRETH, 855; Sanyo, 853; Suppliers, 840, and 69Ner’s, 824.

The second day of elimination phase is set tomorrow starting at 6 p.m., while the last two games will be played on Thursday, Dec.13.

The top three squads will then vie for the top prize on the same day in an up-the-ladder final to determine the champion.

Meanwhile, the Christmas Cup Open Trio Bowling Tournament, hosted by Sharp Phils. will resume Wednesday at the New Top’s Millennium Plaza Alley.*HLG
