‘Waswas Bugsay’

Despite the threatening bad weather, there was no stopping officials of Talisay City, Negros Occidental, from making true the city’s battle cry “Waswas Bugsay, Talisay,” as Mayor Dr. Eric Saratan again led the successful staging of the Pasidungog Festival with highlights last Saturday.

The yearly affair is a thanksgiving celebration of Talisay to commemorate its Charter Day.

Highlights of the celebration were the 1st Doc Eric run for the future; Doc Eric football festival; thanksgiving mass; civic military parade; Pasidungog awards; fancy drill competition; and the Lin-ay sang Talisay competition.

Saratan made sure that this year’s Charter Day celebration will be very meaningful by planning out novel and worthwhile activities, along with Rep. Alfredo Benitez (Neg. Occ., 3rd District).

Indeed, it was a Charter Day celebration worth remembering.
