The Circulo party
All the members of the Circulo de Bacolod were so busy that we decided to celebrate our Christmas party on the very last day of the year 2011. We held it in the early afternoon so that by evening, we could hear mass and have a grandiose celebration.
Everybody was asked to come in red Christmas attires to the lovely house of Jun and Mila Moya.
It was supposed to be a merienda but the food prepared by the hosts was for an early dinner, which we all enjoyed after a hearty merienda game called “Roll the Balloon and Smash it” introduced by Vicky Angudong.
Both losers and winners received gifts compliment of our president, Shirley Ledesma. Two more games followed which everybody also enjoyed.
John Orola, with balikbayan sister, Fanny Orola and hubby Boy Balenia, of Chicago were present.
For our last game John O. joined the “round the ball.” When the music stopped and you are holding the ball, out you go, but with a prize. It was so funny that anyone of us wanted to hold the ball. Would you believe one would not hold it like Ivy V. who threw it!
After much shouting and laughing, we decided to eat the early dinner, then exchanged gifts by getting any number from the box, not knowing the giver.
For the finale, we all sang Christmas songs to our heart’s delight. Happy Three Kings!
Remember: When God is going to do something very wonderful, He begins with difficulty it is going to be something more wonderful, He begins with impossibility. Always believe and never quit, God is good all the time!*
