+The Philippine Business Conference and Exposition will be held on October 24 to 26 at the Manila Hotel, the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry said in a press release.

The 33rd PBC&E, considered as the year's premier business event, will be themed "One. Global. Filipino." Through Public-Private Partnership, the assembly will showcase the preeminent role of the public and private sectors in instituting significant reforms and initiatives to harness the country's competitiveness and promote the growth of industries through investments and other business opportunities.

The 33rd PBC&E will serve as a foothold to sensible and no-holds-barred public-private interaction and dialogue for key policy issues in the country, the press release said.

This year's conference will feature various topics that aim to provide businessmen from different sectors a keen understanding of important issues related to global competitiveness, market access, value chain development, good governance, and global opportunities for investments, most importantly joint projects with government.

A number of expositions in different malls will also be held, showcasing various export-quality products and services of Philippine sunrise industries. Business matching sessions aimed to identify and open available business opportunities, here and abroad, will also be conducted, the press release said.

The 33rd PBC&E will be chaired by Ambassador Francis Chua, special envoy on trade and investment to China and a member of PCCI's Board of Advisers.

The PBC&E season will kick off with a series of Area Business Conferences for South Luzon, National Capital Region, North Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

In Legazpi City, it will be held on August 3 and 4; Manila, August 16 and 17; La Union, August 24 and 25; Bacolod City, September 7 and 8; and General Santos City, September 14 and 15, the press release added.

The 32nd PBC&E had attracted 2,117 delegates and 77 exhibitors from PCCI's network of domestic and foreign business leaders.

The PCCI is a non-stock, non-profit organization comprised of 1,200 direct members, 98 local chambers, 122 industry associations, and 30 foreign business councils, the press release also said.*
