Chiu triples lift
Trading to victory

Daniel Chiu triples led AACI Trading to win No. 2 against Huminova Tigers, 89-79, in Class A of the 2012 Fil-Sino All Asian Countertrade Inc. 1st conference intercolor tournament at TTHS Po Hang Gym.

Chiu, ex La Salle Stinger deadshot, delivered four treys for 12 points of the last 16 points of AACI Trading to engineer a breakaway from a close game and register a double digit victory.

Chiu finished with six treys for 20 points, while Charlton Ong, Arvin Gustilo and Robbie Jalando-on added 14 points each as Johann Villanueva scored 13 points and Mark made Binguan 10 points.

It was a close encounter as Tigers kept a slim lead at the half, 44-42, before yielding the lead to Trading at the end of the third quarter, 64-62.

RB Chua paced the losers with 18 points, while Franklyn Madrid added 15, Badong Eufre had 10, and Johnnyson Yu with 7 points.

Meanwhile in Class B encounter, Organic Solutions overwhelmed JSY Transport, 79-59, to register its second win in as many start.

JSY Transport led by Rey Jara’s nine points had a promising start for an 18-16 opening quarter lead.

Players’ difference in the second quarter gave Organic an extra eight points, as they outscored JSY at halftime, 38-26.

Simon Tan paced Organic with 17 points, Alex Chua shot 15, CHingsan Su finished with 12, Brian Ong contributed 8 points, and Ardian Ong with 6 points.

Rey Jara led JSY with 21 points, Siopao Dichavez added 10, Jeremy Coo and Garret Tabanao with 8 points each and Stephen Tan shot 6 points.*NAB
