In the second quarter, after JSY established a 33-18 lead on a Rolly Jaca layup, Talisay responded with an 8-2 mini run to cut the deficit to 9 points.

JSY high octane offense took a breather as Villariza scored 7 of the 15 points for JSY in the third canto, but Talisay was not able to take advantage of the situation as they also scored the same output with 6 points coming from Salazar.

In the payoff quarter the troika of Olarte Ruel Balgos and Villariza conspired for 20 points as the lead ballooned to 20 points to seal the championship for JSY.
