GMA Network will relive the triumphant moments of American Idol singing sensation Jessica Sanchez tonight in “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho”, a press release from the station said.

Even if she did not take the grand prize, there is no doubt that Sanchez captured the hearts of thousands around the globe. And for Filipinos, she will remain as the country's international singing idol, the press release also said.

The show, that will also feature Lady Gaga’s concert in Manila, and how the calamondin or calamansi can be used in sweet, delightful desserts and dishes, will be aired tonight after “Kapuso Movienight”, the press release added.*

16 candidates vie for Miss Silka

Sixteen candidates from Bacolod City and Negros Occidental are vying in the Search for Miss Silka Bacolod 2012 title.

The contestants aged 15-23 years old were presented to the public yesterday at the Gaisano City Mall Activity Center in Bacolod City.

They are Pebbles Aira Bermejo, Keithleen Mae Flores, Cris An Chavez, Lauren Joyce Cardinal, Claudette del Castillo, Kristy Claire Ebero, Armie Joyce Pomperada, Rexie Lynn Lim, Charlyn Mae Sabio, Kizelle Ann Gellesania, Patricia Ann Reconguista, Ever Grace Lomoscso, Janine Eborda, Guirlie Villoso, Jelliane Rose Dinorog, and Sweetzel Lima.

The contestants will join the swimwear competition tomorrow at the Pagcor Hotel at 7 p.m., while the talent competition will be held on June 3 at the Gaisano City Activity Center at 3 p.m.

Coronation night will be on June 30 at the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos gym at 7 p.m. and the winner will represent Bacolod in the annual search for Miss Silka Philippines in Manila.
