DOLE anniversary
jobs fair slated, too

The Department of Labor and Employment, its agencies and partners, will celebrate its 79th foundation anniversary on December 8 with mega job fairs and other activities in Western Visayas, a DOLE press release said.

The theme of this year’s celebration, is “79 Taon ng Matapat na Serbisyo, Hatid sa Bawat Pilipino.”

DOLE Region 6 Director Ponciano Ligutom said venues for the job fair are Robinson’s Place in Bacolod City, on December 7, Gaisano Capital in La Paz, Iloilo City, and Boracay, Malay, Aklan, on December 8.

As of November 23, there were already 94 local companies and overseas recruitment agencies that have signified their interest to join the job fair.

In Bacolod City, the pre-registration of applicants is ongoing at Public Employment Service Office of the city government while in Iloilo City, the pre-registration will start today until December 7 at Gaisano Capital, the press release said.

There will also be a trade fair to be participated in by the beneficiaries of DOLE funded projects, skills demonstration by TESDA, where they will be providing free massage, in partnership with the TESDA Supervised Schools Association of Iloilo, the press release also said.*
