About 150 guests, including foreign investors, shareholders and local partners, of San Carlos Bioenergy Inc. visited the development site of the country's first fuel-grade ethanol plant in San Carlos City on Wednesday, the mayor's office said in a press release.
SCBI, the first participant in the National Bioethanol Program, is scheduled to start commercial operations late next year. The plant's 125,000-liter daily capacity aims to meet domestic demand for ethanol as mandated by the Biofuels Act of 2006.
San Carlos City Mayor Eugenio reiterated his administration's continued support for the project and thanked the foreign investors for entrusting their investments in the project, the press release said.
‘B' sugar prices decrease slightly
Millgate prices of “B” or domestic slightly dipped yesterday but continued to stay above P1,000 per 50-kilo Lkg, data of the Sugar Master Plan Foundation show.
