'Tinaglimahan'
bowlfest today

The one-day first "Tinaglimahan" Bowling Championship starts at 1 p.m. today at the New Top's Millennium Plaza in Bacolod City.

Jointly organized by the Active Solid Strikers Fellowship Bowlers Inc. and Firefly Bowlers, the event is a three-game series tournament where the top three squads will battle for the title in an up-the-ladder system.

Teams that have already signified their intention to join are Mulo Aircon Services, Sharp, Panasonic, Negros Professional Bowlers Club, Bago City Bowlers Association, ASSFBI Bowlers, Knights of Columbus, Lady Dragon, Fireflyand RR Pincrushers. The champion in the men's division will bring home P6,000 worth of gift certificates, while the first and second runners-up will be getting P4,000 and P3,000 each, respectively.

At stake for the top two winners in the women's bracket are P4,000 and P2,000, respectively. ASSFBI president Edgar Allan Del Rosario said the No.1 team will be beaten-twice, while the top six bowlers after three rounds in the men and ladies' department battles for the master plum, he added.
