The province of Siquijor is observing the national rabies awareness month celebration on the theme "Responsableng Amo, Matinong Aso," through activities set today Maria town.

Activities include seminars and a forum on Animal Welfare and Responsible Pet Ownership, dog show, and free dog vaccination and grooming and poisoning of stray dogs by the Provincial Veterinarian Office.

The campaign will be conducted in the six municipalities for the residents on the dangers of rabid dog bites. Dog owners were also told to be responsible by having their pets vaccinated.*RG
