Team Performance
ready for battle
BY CHRYSEE SAMILLANO

The Team Performance of the Lakas Party led by Bacolod Rep. Monico Puentevella came in red shirts to file their certificates of candidacy yesterday at the Comelec Office in Bacolod City.

Puentevella said they are ready to go to the battlefield. He said that as a sportsman, when one goes into the arena, most of those who win wear red since it is believed to be the color of champions.

Other members of the Team Performance are mayoralty candidate Luzviminda Valdez, vice mayoralty candidate Elmer Sy and their candidates for councilor namely, Nanette Garcia, El Cid Familiaran, Nikki Puentevella, Loreto Dilag, Marvin Taņada, Inocencio Ferrer, Andre Victor Las Piņas, Bobbie Lucasan and incumbent Councilors Reynold Iledan and Catalino Alisbo.

During a press conference at the headquarters of Puentevella held after the team had filed their COC's, Valdez said they will do their best to win and get back City Hall. She said since the City Hall being constructed near her house and that of Puentevella will not yet be finished, they will climb up the old City Hall. The new City Hall has many issues and this has to be reviewed, she added. She claimed that 12 rural barangays and 37 barangay captains came to support them.

Sy assured the people that they will be sincere in serving Bacolod.

Puentevella said he does need to answer all the issues hurled against him or else he could not accomplish anything in life. He said that for six years he has performed his job and he does not have to prove anything. Puentevella said they will have their opening salvo this afternoon at the Bacolod Public Plaza.*CGS
