Organizers of the 2012 Batang PBA – Negros eliminations will meet tomorrow, 5 p.m., at the West Negros University Gym to finalize the list of participants and clarify the tournament guidelines.

Tony Agustin, provincial director of the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas, said the tournament will run from May 5 to 15 with the champion from Negros Occidental advancing to the regional finals.

The regional championship will be among the provincial titlists from Negros, Cebu, and Iloilo , Agustin said.

Aside from the guidelines and final list of the teams, tomorrow's meeting will also discuss the schedule of the team's tryouts, he added.

Under the guidelines, each team is composed of 12 players with 3 born in 1996, another 3 born on 1997, the other 3 born in 1998, and the last 3 born in 1999.

Teams shall be divided into two brackets with five teams each with the top two teams in each bracket advancing to the crossover semifinals.

Winners of the semifinals will then battle for the championship to earn the right to represent the province in the regional finals set May 19-20, also at the WNU Gym. The regional champion will represent Visayas in the national finals in Manila on May 17 to Jun 1.
