Security guard detained for
shooting Bais resident

Policemen in Bais City, Negros Oriental have in their custody a security guard who allegedly shoot several times a resident of Barangay Tamogong, and was arrested recently.

Initial police investigation showed that the suspect, identified as Roldan Tabal, 32, married, of Barangay Tamogong and employed by a gasoline refilling station in Bais allegedly barged into the house of the victim, whom police identified as Reynaldo Cumayas, 37, single, also of the barangay.

Cumayas was having dinner when the suspect arrived and shot him, with his issued shotgun for no apparent reason, a police report said.

The victim was rushed to the Bais District Hospital and later transferred to the Negros Oriental Provincial Hospital in Dumaguete.

Police arrested and detained the suspect while investigating the motive of the attack.*JFP
