Dr. Salustiano Jimenez was installed yesterday as officer-in-charge of the Department of Education Division of Schools in Negros Oriental by DepEd 7 regional director Carmelita Dulangon.

Jimenez took over from Dr. Marilyn Andales, who will assume as city schools division superintendent of Guihulngan City, also in Negros Oriental.

In his designation order, DepEd Secretary Armin Luistro said that Jimenez is authorized to sign communications and approve the appointments delegated to schools division superintendents.

Dulangon urged Jimenez to be a good manager of DepEd resources and be transparent in all his undertakings.

Jimenez, a Boholano, used to be the assistant division superintendent of DepEd Cebu City. He said he will not put a limit on what he will do for the betterment of teachers, students, the youth and the province.*JG
