The Pag-IBIG Fund Bacolod Branch has announced that its office will open from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. from August 6 to November 6, to accept calamity loan applications and regular Multi-Purpose Loan applications, a press release from the agency said.

The move aims to provide time for members affected by the recent calamity brought by typhoon “Gener” and SW monsoon and members from the employed sector to avail of the Calamity/MPL.

The program aims to provide financial assistance to Pag-IBIG member-victims in calamity-stricken areas. It is open to members who have made at least 24 monthly contributions, an active member at the time of loan application, and who commits to continuously remit contributions at least for the term of the loan, and is a resident of the area declared calamity-stricken.

Pag-IBIG members who are victims of calamities must avail of the calamity loan within a period of 90 days from the occurrence of the calamity, the press release said.

They are entitled to a loan equivalent to 80 percent of their Total Accumulated Value, it added.

The calamity loan, which bears an interest of 5.95 percent, shall be amortized over a period of 24 months with a grace period of three months.

Application form for Calamity loan/MPL can be obtained from the nearest Pag-IBIG Fund office and can also be downloaded at Pag-IBIG Fund’s website www.pagibig.gov.ph.
