Recoletos group donates
to tremor victims

Food items were donated to earthquake victims in Guihulngan City, Negros Oriental, particularly those at the Tinayunan evacuation center, by the Colegio de Sto. Tomas-Recoletos Alumni Association Inc. based in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, recently, a press release from the group said.

The P80,000 that the association had raised from its members, produced 750 packs of foodstuff like rice, noodles, sardines and bottled water, that were prepared and distributed to families at the evacuation center, in coordination with the San Carlos City Social Welfare and Development Office, it added.

Guihulngan City was badly hit by the tectonic 6.9 magnitude quake on February 6.*
