Class ’73 keeps No. 1 spot
In NOHS bowling tourney

Class ’73 kept the top post in the Class A division, as Class ’80 and Batch ’95 dominated their respective categories in the Negros Occidental High School General Alumni Homecoming Inter-class Bowling Tournament at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

Class ’73 now has a total score of 13,161 pinfalls, 93 pins ahead of second placer Class ’82 with 13,068.

The younger Batch ’97 came up from sixth to third with 13,063.

Former frontrunner Batch ’89 slid to fourth with 13,058.

Class ’66 has 12,971; Class ’84, 12,770; Class ’83, 12,394; Class ’67, 12,328, and Class ‘54/56/59 Combined 12,326.

In category B, Class ’80 led with 12,525 followed by Class ’71 with 12,430.

Lined up in the same bracket are Class ’70, 12,358; Class ’85, 12,325; Batch ’90, 12,266; Class ’65, 12,234; Team ’67, 12,218; Class ’74, 12,133; Class ’58, 11,899, and Class ’88, 11,728.

Batch ’95 is leading in bracket C with 12,083.

Completing the list are Class ’62, 11,877; Batch ’91, 11,713; 75 Sec., 11,783; Batch 2000-Up, 11,686; Class ’92, 11,573; Batch ’98, 11,528; Class ’77, 11,393; Class ’87, 11,266, and Class ’75, 10,970.

Class ’66 and ’84 holds the record for the team’s highest single and triple with 546 and 1,583 each.

The individual record holders are Class ’73 starter Hernand Garciniego in highest pinning with 97, while his teammate Felipe Boy Romero booked the highest triple with 367 in the men’s division.

Teammates Ronela Cordero and Devonne Fernandez recorded the highest single and triple with 136 and 343 pinfalls, while Emily P. of Class ’56 led the women’s pinning with 87.*HLG
