Pre-registration slated
for December job fair

The Public Employment Service Office in Bacolod City will hold an early registration for jobseekers on Nov. 13 and 14 at Robinsons Place Bacolod for a job fair slated on Dec. 7.

This is part of the 79th anniversary of the Department of Labor and Employment, and will bring in 21 licensed recruitment agencies and 31 local employers from Bacolod City, Moises de la Cruz, PESO manager, said yesterday.

He said the agencies are East West Placement Center Inc., Progressive Employment and Recruitment Agency Inc., Pisces International Placement, Arab Peninsula Manpower Services Corp., MSL Star Human Resources Corp., GBMLT Manpower Services Inc., YWA Human Resource Corp., Lead Resources Management Corp., Jones International Manpower Services Inc., Golden Legacy Job Movers Corp.;

Landbase Human Resource Company, Anchor International Manpower Services Inc., Career Planners Specialists International Inc., FSL International Manpower and Promotion Services Inc., Skills International Co. Inc., France Asia International Inc., Mori International Agency Corp., JS Contractor Inc., Orobless International Recruitment Agency Services Inc., and YES Human Resources Inc. will also be hiring, he said.

Local employers joining the job fair are Ace Promotion and Marketing Corp., Deka Sales Repair and Contracting Service, 5 Star Amalgamated Manpower and Allied Services Inc., Bong-Bongs, Teleperformance, Insular Life, Amaia Land Corp., Teletech, Convergys, ZFA Credit Corp., PhilAm Life, Merci, de la Cruz also said.

Also joining are Fieldmen Janitorial Services Corp., Kuntel Construction Aldritz Corp., Cebu Mitsumi Inc., San Miguel Corp., Pepsi Cola, Dynamic Builders, Coca Cola, Lopez Sugar Corp., Central Azucarera de La Carlota, Watson, Robinsons Land Corp., Toyota Bacolod, Grand Regal, Zest-O Corp., N-Rich, First Farmers, Krush Rock, and Distileria Bago.

De la Cruz said the pre-registration and the job fair is in partnership with ABS-CBN Bacolod.

Meanwhile, Pisces International Placement and Placewell Agency personnel will be at the PESO Bacolod today for their initial interview for skilled workers and nurses to work in Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

Applicants must bring their employment documents, transcript of records, diploma, training certificates, and passport (if any). Wearing of slippers and shorts when applying is discouraged, he added.*LTG
