Facelift of market section up
BY JUANCHO GALLARDE

The “painitan” section of the Dumaguete City Public Market will be transformed by the Office of the City Economic Enterprise into a tourist destination.

CEEO chief Jose Ronnie Fortin said the work on it will include face-lifting, painting, repair of the range hood, use of mechanical drop to siphon the smoke, and putting up of LED lights.

He said he hopes that the renovation will be completed before the city charter anniversary on November 24.

Meanwhile, Fortin said the city's waterless comfort rooms are earning a net of P80,000 each per month. He said the six comfort rooms save for the city around P60,000 in water and electricity bills per month.*JG
