Kids’ works on exhibit

Collective works of students and parents of the Angels Center Delasalle will be featured at the Museo Negrense De La Salle on Nov. 23-29, a press release from the University of St. La Salle in Bacolod City said.

The exhibit will feature Multi-Sensory outputs of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

The exhibit will open on November 23, 4 p.m.

Dance tour set Dec. 2

Hypernova Production Society Inc., the  ship flag bearer, will present the highly successful 19th National Inspirational Youth Benefit and Marathon Dance Tour, named “Sail On…the Excelsis Tour,” at St. John Institute gymnasium, in Bacolod City, 2 to 5 p.m. December 2,  a press release from the group said. 

This is a stage and cinema combined musical variety show being tour around the country. It aims at raising the youth’s awareness on the spiritual, moral and social issues of society, the press release said.

Dr. Bob Aquino is the project director and founding chairman of HPSI.

He said the show will bring out the spiritual awareness and enlightenment to the youth and to the people as well as raise important moral and social issues.

This musical event is being endorsed by Bacolod Bishop Vicente Navarra to different schools, universities, parishes, religious organizations and non-government organizations, the press release said.

“Sail On…the Excelsis Tour” also unfolds the adventure of the Hypernova sailors in search for the sacred scroll. A story of hope, faith and revenge.   Sailors are Andrew Ferrer of La Consolacion College; JC Ferrer, Jorge Parroco, Tobbie Canonizado, Derick Sibug of University of St. La Salle; Alfred Sylvestre, Rey Allan Agustin, Frayan Mejorada of VMA Global College; Steven Teasol of Tay Tung High School; and John Joshua Jereza of John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University.

Special participation will be by Sr. Edward de San Jose of LCC; Fr. Emilio Ascano of St. John’s Institute; Dr. Lorenzo Cabalfin, Marlee Jayme and Erriele Mae Echarri Caluag of USLS; and Samuel John Solon of Sam Slim Gym.

Black Widows are Myrna Desabelle, Delia Tabotabo and Emma Sancho of the Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Chaplaincy, Eroreco; Black Wizards are Victor Mejia and Kris Sibayan; Buddhist are Nieves Vaz Pepito and Boom Pedojan of the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos, the press release also said.

‘Stories to Tell’ to open

A solo exhibition titled “Stories to Tell” will be presented by Moreen Austria today at the Italia Restaurant in Bacolod City, a press release from organizers said.

Austria presents works in Ala Prima style and textured depictions through impasto application.

Austria who is from Bacolod City, is part of artist organizations like Feminine Touch, BABAYI, and the Art Association of Bacolod. She also has exhibited in Cebu and Manila.  

The show will run until November 30, the press release added.*
