Capitol, 3rd District LGUs to
provide free video walls

Video walls will be installed at the Negros Occidental Multi-Purpose Activity Center and at different venues in the cities of Victorias, Silay, Talisay, and towns of EB Magalona and Murcia to allow more Negrenses to watch the third encounter between pound-for-pound world No. 1 boxer Manny Pacquiao and his Mexican foe Juan Manuel Marquez for the WBO welterweight title.

Showing his support to the country’s boxing icon, Governor Alfredo Marañon has given the go-signal for the installation of a video wall at the NOMPAC that will telecast the fight live via satellite feed from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Glitters beat Amazing twice
to win 3rd Inter-Barkada title

Perseverance and having the heart of a champion were the keys as Glitters Production prevail over PELCO-Amazing ’09, 67-63, to capture their third crown in the LNA7/USLS Inter-Barkada Basketball Tournament played at the West Negros University gym.

Trailing from No.3 at the end of the elimination round, Glitters spoiled the twice-to-beat advantage of No.2 Bacolod Basketball Club in the semifinals to notch a berth in the best-of-three finals against Amazing ’09.

Yielding Game 1 to Amazing ’09, Glitters bounced back in Game 2 to forge a winner-take-all Game 3 to eventually bag the crown.
