News, public affairs show
celebrates first anniversary

GMA 13’s first news and public affairs show, “Isyu Subong – Negrense,” is celebrating its first anniversary, a press release from the television station said.

Highlighting the occasion is a five-day anniversary special that features the experiences and realizations of the people behind the program, as they tread the daily realities of life to give the viewers stories, issues and news.

The special also gives the audience a preview of the show in the coming years.

Isyu Subong – Negrense, being committed to Serbisyong Totoo, also partnered with different organizations to come up with activities for the benefit of the people of the province.

The activities include Running Scared. Running Free. - a fun run in partnership with the F.A.C.E.S. Foundation Inc. yesterday, Bloodletting Activity in partnership with KASANAG Inc. on December 3; Medical Mission in partnership with RGMA Campus Radio 107.1 on December 10; Salo-Salo Para kay Lola at Lolo on December 17; and Christmas Party with Special Children on December 23, both in partnership with FGY Foundation, the press release said.

Isyu Subong – Negrense first aired on November 22, 2010. From being a public affairs show, it has now evolved into a news and public affairs program with the inclusion of the news segment entitled, Balita Subong.

It is hosted by Gretchen Varela with Adrian Bobe and Katherine Valencia, and aired every 5 p.m. over Channel 13, the press release added.*
