The OTOP Fair, themed "Ang Galing Mo Pinoy ! Go Negosyo!", will also commemorate the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Week which focuses on the role of the micro, small and medium enterprises in the country's economic growth.

Among the products to be displayed are handloom woven products from Miag-ao, rice wine from rice of Pototan, bamboo products from Maasin, San Enrique, New Lucena, and mango fruits of Leon and Igbaras.

Also taking part in the OTOP Fair is the Advocate for Philippine Fair Trade Inc. which has help further upgrade and develop technology for processed food sectors.

AFTI's help can be seen through the kind of packaging and labeling of Ilonggo processed products.

DTI-Iloilo Director Diosdado Cadena said the government has intensified the implementation of OTOP through the P15 billion credit fund earmarked by the Development Bank for the SMEs. He said the fund will address one of the constraints of SMEs being faced by SMEs which is lack of funding.*PIA
