CompSol, Quidan
cagers prevail

Computer Solution rallied to notch its sixth win at the expense of Team INC, 83-80, Monday, while Quidan triumphed over PI Silay, 80-72, in the 1st Quidan Kaisahan Basketball Tournament at the University of St. La Salle-Integrated School Covered Court in Bacolod City.

AA Delosa had 27 points and Kevin Juen finished with 22 to pace CompSol, which overcame a 15-point deficit in the opening half to stay unbeaten in the five-team tournament.

The absence of center Steve Serebo in the second half told heavily on Team INC, which was led by Jordan Galamiton's 14 points. The loss sent INC to 2-5.

In the other game, Harvey De Leon picked up 18 points, Gilbert Carmona scred 14 and Arland Blanco contributed 11 to lift Quidan to its fifth win in seven games.

After De Leon's second quarter surge, Quidan made some defensive stops near the end and Carmona and Blanco made important free throws to preserve the advantage.

Nante Semillano and Erwin Palabrica chipped in 10 apiece, while Leo Teodisio, Benson dela Fuente, Rodelio Jumantoc joined hands for 17 points.

Jade Penaflorida posted 17 points for PI Silay, which dropped to 2-4. Also coming up with double figures were Jay Mendoza and Dexter Lim with 14 each and Jay Casas with 8. *
