The Capitol Government Employees MPC Team A ruled the maiden edition of the Negros Occidental Inter-Cooperative Bowling Tournament at the Lopue's East Bowling Center recently.

CAPGEM-A bested the teams from the Bacolod City Government Employees MPC, CAPGEM-B and the La Salle Brothers Employees Teachers Community Cooperative Development Council and the Negros Occidental Cooperative Development Council.

The event is one of the activities leading to the 28th Provincial Cooperative Day celebration on Oct. 20 at the USLS Coliseum. Meanwhile, hostilities in the inter-cooperative basketball tournament continue at the Talisay City Gym while the volleyball event kicks off Oct. 13 at the USLS College covered court.

The basketball tournament is organized by Pedrito Cabuguason of the Land Bank of the Philippines, while the volleyball competition is supervised by Marilou Lozada of LASBETCO, a press release from organizers said. Interested parties in the sports competition, the coop day celebration and the 1st Negros Occidental Cooperative Congress on Oct. 18 may contact the LASBETCO office at telephone number 432-1192.*
