October 17 in Bacolod

The Bureau of Internal Revenue Region 12 will hold a Tax Amnesty Roadshow on October 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Garden Royale Main Hall at Goldenfield Commercial Complex.

Rep. Danilo Suarez of Quezon Province, chairman of the House oversight committee, will be the guest speaker. The roadshow will be a comprehensive tax information drive on Republic Act 9480 or the Tax Amnesty Act of 2007. RA 9480, which took effect last May and implemented in September, covers all national internal revenue taxes imposed by the national government for the taxable year 2005 and prior years, with or without assessments duly issued therefore, that have remained unpaid as of Dec. 31, 2005.

Under the amnesty program, those who can avail are individuals, whether resident or non-resident citizens, or resident or non-resident aliens; partnerships; estates and trusts; corporations; cooperatives and tax exempt entities that have become taxable as of Dec. 31, 2005; and other juridical entities.
