Paravet evaluation test set

The Provincial Veterinary Office of Negros Occidental will conduct Paraveterinarians Performance Evaluation Test tomorrow to all 63 paravets of the province to determine their specialized fields and weak areas, Catheryn Narez, provincial livestock coordinator said yesterday.

Narez said there is need to train all paravets on disease identification, animal breeding, animal nutrition, animal management and practices, and proper handling of vaccines.

The results of the evaluation will determine specific fields that they need to enhance and PVO will provide them with the trainings they need, she said

The evaluation test is only for all existing paravets, she added.

Meanwhile, the monthly allowance of paravets for November and December last year will be released tomorrow at the Provincial Treasurers Office.

Narez said paravets receive P500 monthly allowance from the province and they perform animal health extension services like vaccination and deworming for their local government units and local communities. *LTG
