De Leon, Llena eye
master bowler crown

Edgar De Leon of Sharp and Lawrence Llena of ESD Electronz/ASSFBI are the top favorites to win the master bowler title in their respective division when the Suppliers Friendship Cup resumes tomorrow at the New Top's Millennium Plaza Alley in Bacolod City.

De Leon topped the elimination phase in the premiere class with an average of 117.11 per game, while Llena led the non-rated bracket with 108.38.

With the top seed in the rated division are Wilson Casas (Kami Mga Hubin), 115.32; Marlon Jochico (Davies), 113.63; Steve Ramos (Davies), 113.11; Alan Baer (Amor ASSFBI), 112; Nonoy Gatila (Silverado), 111.94; Matt Gaudite (Sharp), 111.71; Boy “Tisoy” Villanueva (Mulo Car Aircon), 110.11; Ronald “D Spark”Fernandez (Silverado), 110.05, and Munching Guinson (Davies), 109.53.

Competing with Llena in Bracket B are Nilo Maghari (Metro Sales); Remo Jareño (St. Joseph HS Alumni), Iran Pielago (Davies); Rey Bello (Alimon Steel), Johann Genolos (Metro Sales); Frantit Miranda (Lady of Candles); Pat Mendoza (ESD Electronz); Lito Tonogbanua (Supplier's Team), and Melchor Semillano (Sanyo).

Action starts at 6 p.m.

The third to fifth survivors in the team competition earn the right to face the top two squads in the up-the-ladder championship on Friday.

In the opening match, it will be No.5 seed Silverado/ASSFBI against No.4 Davies A. The winner will tangle with No.3 seed ESD Electronz II in the premiere division.

In the non-rated category, St. Joseph High School Alumni Association will take on ESD Electronz I in the first game for the right to face third seed Davies C.

The finals for the non-winning entries is also set Friday.*HLG
