The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority has announced the initial launch of the TESDA Specialista Technopreneurship Program in Negros Oriental.
A TESDA source said the project aims to organize trained and National Certificate Level II (NC II) graduates into small entrepreneurial groups to carry out their trade in the community.
These graduates will be trained by TESDA in partnership with local government units until they can do business on their own.
In Dumaguete City, five community-based service groups are organized with 10 specialists each.
The members include workers in Computer Hardware Servicing, Welding, Building/House and Maintenance Services, Automotive/Vehicle Maintenance Service and Appliance Repair Services.
