Rep. Alfredo Abeladro Benitez (Neg. Occ. 3rd District) and Bacolod Vice Mayor Jude Thaddeus Sayson yesterday called on Negrenses and Bacoleños to help support Jai and Joj Agpangan to guarantee their victory in Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition 4 of ABS-CBN.
Jai and Joj, both 15, of Mabolo Street, Brgy. Villamonte, Bacolod City, are alumni of Taytung High School batch 2012.
Sayson said if the twins win, they will become an additional pride for Bacolod City following the victory of the MassKara Festival dancers in the inter-town competition of the ABS-CBN’s variety show “It’s showtime!” in April.
Benitez said he is helping the twins because they have shown the importance of family bonds, which should be emulated.
Two weeks ago, the twins were told that only one of them could remain on the show, while the other must leave. The twins said if one leaves, both of them would quit instead, Benitez said.
Their father, Martin Agpangan, brother of former Bacolod City Police officer-in-charge Leo Irwin Agpangan, told the DAILY STAR that during the final casting for the show, the staff of PBB had also told them to go to a room where they found one t-shirt signifying that only one of them may join the show, but the twins stressed that if only one of them will be taken in, they would not join at all.
Agpangan said that he was not surprised at his twin’s decision because he and his wife raised them and their three other children, to love and care for each other.
Even before they joined the show, the twins had always shown a happy and positive dispositions towards, he said.
They did not expect to reach the finals but we always pray for them, the twin’s father said.
He thanked all those who voted for his daughters last week which ensured them a slot at the finals of the popular reality show.
He also urged the public to continue voting for them so they will be declared the big winner.
Those who want to vote for the twins should text BBS<space> JAIJOJ and send it to 231 for smart and talk and text subscribers and 2331 for globe, sun and touchmobile subscribers.
The show’s finale will be on Saturday at the Malolos Sports and Convention Center in Bulacan.*APN back
