The championship round in the three divisions of the BCNHS/NOHS/DLNHS Inter-school Triangular Fellowship Bowlfest For Unity 2012 will start tomorrow at the Super Lanes of the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

NOHS Class ’74 leads in the battle for the crown in the premiere class, as BCHS C’74 and NOHS C’70/71 Combined in category B and C.

The 10 teams classified in three divisions will play another five rounds and the top five squads with the highest scores will engage in an up-the-ladder system to determine the champion.

NOHS C’73-74, headed by Romel Jover, topped the 30-team eliminations with a total score of 7,374.

Vying with Jover’s group in class A division are BCNHS Batch ’89, DLNHS C’75, BCHS ’79, NOHS C’82/86/89 Combined, BCHS ‘72/76, BCNHS ’85, BCHS ’73, DLNHS C’71/72/79, and NOHS C’66/67.

With BCHS ’74 in category B are BCNHS ’90, NOHS C’85, BCNHS ’81, NOHS Golden, NOHS ’68, DLNHS ’73, NOHS ’97, NOHS ‘2000-Up, and DLNHS ‘77.

With NOHS C’70/71 in category C are BCHS ’67, NOHS ’95, DLNHS ’78, DLNHS ’92, BCHS ’68, BCNHS ’86, NOHS C’99, and NOHS C’80.

NOHS C’73-74 Combined records in the team’s highest single and triple are still intact at 560 and 1,579, respectively.

In the individual contest, NOHS ’73-74 mainstay Hernand Garciniego still holds the highest pinning mark 94 pinfalls, while Norman Pineda of BCHS tops in single and triple with 161 and 386 in the men’s bracket.

BCNHS batch ’89 spit fire Maila Balayo has the women’s highest pinning record with 92, and Carmen Romales of BCHS ’74 had the highest single and triple with 128 and 324, dislodging the old mark set by Ronela Cordero of NOHS ‘82/86/89 of 127 and 321.
