Batch ’85 captures
BCNHS bowling title

The Bacolod City National High School Batch ’85 pinbusters won over LJP Trading/NPBC/RJ Stars and got the 1st Vice Mayor Thaddy Sayson Cup Pre-PANAAD Open Trio Bowling Championship at the New Top’s Millennium Plaza Alley in Bacolod City.

The team is composed of Marlon Faisan, Nene Borlado and Armando Hervias who beat the NPBC team of Willy Mahilum, Abe Leong and Hernand Graciniego.

The final game was tightly contested with the BCNHS Batch ’85 pulling away in the last two frames.

The twice-to-beat champion squad headed by John Malayang defeated LJP Trading of Gil Villagante, 365-360 in the final game to win the crown.

LJP downplayed Batch ’85 in their first encounter in the finals, 349-337, to force a rubber match.

The other members of Batch ’85 team are Malayang, Rod Salazar, Silna Mae Peralta, Anabel Añovert Geriani, Merilla Goco, Gilbert Cientos, Jeffrey Bravo, Dominador Edang, Giovanni Medina and Ruben Dellima, while Jam Morales, Rey Gargar and Steve Po for NPBC.

The fourth-ranked NPBC squad, beat early favorite Sharp of Irne Diaz in the quarterfinals and followed it up with another victory over No.2 ESD Electronz/Assfbi anchored by Allan Baer in the semis, 366-351.

Twelve teams participated in the activity hosted by BCNHS Batch ’85 Alumni Association.*HLG
