Fun bike, run, walk
set November 24

The Provincial Government of Negros Occidental in partnership with ABS-CBN Bacolod and Bantay Bata 163 Negros, will conduct a ‘Fun Bike, Run and Walk for A Cause’ on Nov. 24 as part of the 7th Negros Island Organic Farmers Festival.

The theme of the activity is “Celebrating the Gains of Organic Agriculture; Mainstreaming Opportunities thru Fair Trade”, a press release from organizers said.

Assembly time is 4 a.m. to 5 a.m., at the Providence Negros at Burgos Street for the bike event, while runners will start at Bangga Pepsi (Caltex Station) and participants in the walk event will assemble at the San Sebastian Cathedral at San Juan Street.

All participants will converge at the Provincial Capitol Lagoon and Park.

Medals, certificates and gift packs are at stake for the top three finishers in both male and female categories of the three events, the press release said.

Registration fee is pegged at P50 per participant. Proceeds of the event will go to Bantay Bata Foundation.
