PNP to probe reports
cops killed ‘gun-for-hire’
BY ADRIAN NEMES III
Bacolod City Police Director, Senior Supt. Ricardo de la Paz, yesterday said that he will look into reports that policemen were involved in the killing of suspected gun-for-hire Pic Raymnond Longno.
Unconfirmed reports said that the two-bonnet wearing men who shot Longno while he was walking at Malaspina Street, Brgy. Villamonte, Bacolod, Sunday, used a silver Honda Civic vehicle with PNP 111 commemorative car plates attached to it, as their get-away vehicle.
De la Paz, however, said that the commemorative car plate of the PNP was purchased not only by policemen but also by civilians as it is a fund raising drive for the organization’s 111th year anniversary. |
