Nestle partner
opens new hub

Island Merchants Corporation, distributor of Nestle products for Negros and Siquijor, opened its new logistics center at the National Road, Brgy. Mansilingan, Bacolod City, its press release from IMC said.

The IMC warehouse design is based on Nestle Philippines Inc.'s specifications with a modern racking system supported by electric reach trucks and forklifts, the press release said.

IMC president and chief executive officer Manuel Parroco, said the company has enhanced its capability to accommodate and distribute the growing volume of its products.

He also said that the continuous investment by Nestle in the country benefits its distributors through job generation for people in the countryside.

Present at the IMC warehouse inauguration were Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia and councilor Em Ang.

Nestle executive vice president and sales director Paul Rodriguez, senior vice president and SCM director Wim Van Geffen, and SCM vice President Francisco Rovira were also present, the press release said.*
