Ateneo battles
UST at WNU Gym today

In their last encounter two weeks ago at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Manila , Kieffer Ravena of the Ateneo Blue Eagles and Jeric Teng of the Growling Tigers were battling for the crown in the UAAP. Today the two promising collegiate players will try to bring their team closer to this year's University Games crown.

Game time is set at 3:30 p.m. at the West Negros University Gym.

Both Ateneo and UST advanced to the quarterfinals of men's basketball with the Eagles topping Bracket A with an unbeaten record, while UST slipped to No. 2 in Bracket C after bowing to Adamson University, 86-81, in the eliminations.

Joining Ravena in the Blue Eagles roster are Juan Nicolas Elorde, Juan Miguel Tiongson, Gynne Matthew Capacio, Isaac Lim, Kristoffer Porter, Von Rolfe Pessumal, Elmer Mykiel Cabahug, Gideon Babilonia, Josemarie Adornado, Francesco Asuncion, Peter Murphy, and Paul John Siarot.

The Growling Tigers team to the UniGames is compose of Teng, Aljon Mariano, Clark Daniel Bautista, Robin Allan Tan, Kim Kaizen Lo, Eduardo Daquioag, Kevin Ferrer, Janrey Garrido, Paolo Pe, Robert Hainga, and Louie Philippe Vigil.

In the other quarterfinals match-up, University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos Rams will try to raise the banner of Bacolod City against UAAP semifinalist National University Bulldogs in the 3:30 p.m. game this afternoon at the USLS Coliseum.

At 2 p.m., University of the East Warriors will try to secure a ticket to the semifinals against Southwestern University at the WNU Gym, while Adamson Falcons will clash against Capiz-based Hercor College at the USLS Coliseum.*NAB
