Araneta withdraws PFF bid
BY CEDELF TUPAS

Mariano Araneta has withdrawn his candidacy for Philippine Football Federation, citing family reasons, PFF president Johnny Romualdez said yesterday.

Romualdez said as far as he knows, three candidates remain in the fight for the top football post, although he has heard reports that former Rep. Carlos Cojuangco has also pulled out of the elections set Saturday in Manila.

The DAILY STAR has sought the comment of the Cojuangco camp yesterday but had yet to receive a response as of press deadline.

Still in contention for PFF president are former RP national player Mari Martinez and PFF publicist Ed Formoso.*CPT
